( Frightfest Day 3)
You know how sitting in the front seat of a rollercoaster makes the ride a better, more intense experience? This does the same thing, only you know, for slasher movies.
Innovative POV shooting coupled with a mesmerisingly disturbing performance from Elijah Wood made this the standout film of the festival. Gave me the fear in a big way.
A child combs his mum's hair and then watched her get nailed a couple of times by men so, 20 years later, he scalps women and staples the hair to mannequins? Clearly a more disturbing cinematic experience than a home one.
Brutal, beautiful, exhilarating epic of truly maniacal ferocity.
