100 Bloody Acres

(Frightfest Day 2)
A surprisingly touching tale centred on mincing human bodies that provided the most stomach lurching moment of the day, though that was nothing to do with the mincing.

  1. Surprised me by holding back on the gore in favour of some good human stories. Funny and perfect for the end of the night.

  2. One of my highlights of Frightfest. The main brother had tough job and pulled it off brilliantly. Big brother was funny and intimidating. The girl was hot and convincing in the role. Even the annoying stoner worked! Well crafted with a lot of heart

  3. One of the surprises of the festival - touching, funny and gory with a gleefully 'wrong' sense of humour that put me in mind of the likes of Braindead.

The central performances of the blood bone fertilizer brothers really make the film, but there's a strong supporting cast as well.

  4. Also contained the funniest line of Frightfest: "come on, we're not fucking spiders here"

Because you have to take care when fucking spiders, see? Especially in Australia.
