A loving document that goes on a bit because it's of something incredible you would never otherwise be able to see. All with the finest use of 3D so far as an added bonus.
Yeah I think that's a fair summation Al. You could understand Herzog's inclination to use every inch of footage given the rarity of access to the cave. The 3D is key though - in 2D it would lose that magic that keeps you hooked and become an overlong, if intriguing documentary.
Really want to see this. Can't get enough of that Lascaux shit. Though it could probably benefit from a hippy being eaten by a bear.
