An old school curse rendered all the more chilling by stilted dialogue, the director's obsession with the physiology of aging and the characters eventual blank acceptance of their fate.

I found the monotone delivery off-putting at first, but then it seemed to add another layer of weirdness to proceedings. I really like that streak of black humour running through the pervading sense of unease too.
