They Look Like People

(Frightfest Day 4)
With a superbly performed friendship at its core and a generous sprinkle of moments that not only made my skin crawl but inspired it to try and walk, this film manages to do so much with so little. Fantastic.

  1. As with last year's Creep, the most insidious moments are created with little more than acting chops. Who needs the supernatural, when you have the fear of creeping insanity..

  2. Tense, creepy, yet touching and ultimately uplifting.

Had much to ponder and stew over with it's themes of alienation, paranoia, friendship and identity, and wins the Frightfest 2015 award for the film that most stimulated my grey matter (and did so without ever turning it red!)
