Dead Snow [Død snø]

 
What starts as a silly cabin in the woods variant manages to drop all the right film references before surpassing expectation with a sludgy gore fuelled final third.

    So this is actually OK? I just assumed it would be shit. Maybe need to check this and see 2 at FF after all...

    Yeah spot on with the synopsis. A smart move by the Norwegians to inject some humour and gore into a tired format. They wear their influences on their sleeve - or rather the T-shirts of the token film geek. On the basis of this, DS2 should make for a good midnight movie.
