Witchfinder General [Edgar Allen Poe's The Conqueror Worm]


The incredible levels of pastoral gentleness dampen Hopkin's raw malevolence, no matter how coldly Price plays him, although the bleak, screaming nihilism of the film's climax more than makes up for it.
