I can distinctly recall my 13 year old self watching this and failing to be impressed. Now I see a riot of inventive set design, characters actually developing during the film and green screen action sequences that, despite obvious joins, genuinely thrill. Held up next to today's CGI cartoons this is some kind of masterpiece. It shouldn't be this way.
