I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain that director Stuart Gordon's three favourite things are H.P. Lovecraft stories, early Cronenberg movies and breasts. In that order.
Since the age of about 10 my Dad has always told me this was the scariest film he has ever seen. That was until Sunday night when I told him I was going to see it and he suddenly had no recollection of having heard of it, let alone seen it.
It is not the scariest film ever made. It is a [brilliant/bollocks] slice of 80's [insanity/stupidity] with [preposterously fun/awful] acting and (mostly) excellent effects. [King!/King!]
