The Eyes Behind The Wall [L'occhio dietro la parete]

Tries its very best to be an intriguing, complex euro-thriller but, like most Italian cinema of the time, ends up being a big, juicy clump of sleaze.

Exodus: Gods And Kings

Charlotte wanted to see this because, like every child in western civilisation, she had covered the story of Moses at school.
It's a good thing she had too because there's no attempt to actually tell the story in the film, just a flat montage of images that nudge your memory into joining the necessary dots.

Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue Of Ignorance)

Virtuosic enough in terms of performance, cinematography and editing to allow you to forgive any other flaws you may perceive.
