Enter The Void

Another absolutely remarkable film from a remarkable director. Does start to lose itself in over indulgence towards the end of its lengthy running time, but then if I’d made something this staggering I’d be loathe to cut any of it out too.

Irreversible

Induces nausea from the off and then shoves you through a barrage of bleak atrocity. Brilliant, though I'd struggle to call it enjoyable.

Climax

(Frightfest Day 5)
Horrifically disturbing, totally mental, head shattering sensory overload shot through with an ever present kick drum. Fucking awesome.

Insistent bleakness that constantly seeks out a lower low at every opportunity.
