Bumblebee


Finally they got one right. Just the first five minutes alone had eight year old me squealing with idiotic glee at the fall of Cybertron. So, so, so right.
The teenager thought Hailee Steinfeld was cool, but didn't care much for the giant robot.

More trailblazing Italian cinema this time from the poliziotteschi genre with all the cop action pushed to the background and the morally reprehensible but compulsively watchable bad guy given centre stage for his mayhem.

Iron Man


I decided to rewatch all the Marvel movies prior to Endgame. When I first saw this it was a throwaway origin story, now it's difficult to not see everything as stage setting which in turn renders Jeff Bridges bad guy as, at best, distracting but embeds everything else with a shimmer of excitement for what's to come.
